Overview

Personal Device Support provides Hamilton students and employees with troubleshooting and assistance specifically for their personal computers. Our Help Desk technicians are available to diagnose and resolve common technical issues. If the problem requires additional expertise, it will be escalated to our CCNY technician for further diagnosis and assistance.

After creating a ticket, please find a time to come to the Help Desk in Burke Library to work with a Help Desk technician.

We offer best-effort support for phones and tablets; however, we are unable to perform hardware repairs on these devices.

Who may request this service?

This service is available to all Hamilton students and employees with personal computing devices.

What information should be included in the ticket?

  • Detailed description: describe the issue, including when it began, and any steps you've taken in attempt to resolve it
  • Machine specifications: device specifications, make and model, operating system, etc.
