Overview

This service provides assistance with a wide range of operating system-related issues to ensure optimal device functionality for both macOS and Windows machines. Common issues addressed include system crashes, blue or black screens, boot failures, update problems, driver conflicts, and performance slowdowns. Additionally, we can assist with configuration issues, error messages, and guidance on system settings.

Ticket Information

Who may request this service?

This service may be requested by Hamilton faculty, staff, and students.

What information should be included in the ticket?

  • Device specifications: make & model, operating system, etc.
  • Barcode: if the device is Hamilton-owned, the last 5 digits of the barcode
  • Detailed description: information about the problem, including when the issue began and any steps you have taken in an attempt to resolve it
  • Relevant screenshots: any error messages received
