Overview
Your preferred name is how you wish to be addressed in our Hamilton College community and will be used in downstream business systems, except for legal matters, which will require your legal name. Please provide the name that reflects your identity, culture, or personal preference, as this is how you will be shown in directories and visible to others. Your inclusion of a preferred name fosters a more inclusive and respectful environment for all.
By submitting this request, you consent to the necessary system updates by the Help Desk and Information Security teams. Once approved, the preferred name will be reflected across all Hamilton systems including but not limited to:
- My Hamilton/Blackboard logins
- Duo Mobile
- Wi-Fi login
Additionally, your email address will be updated to align with your new username, while retaining the previous email address as an alias to ensure continuity in sending and receiving email messages.
