Citrix Workspace lets users run some Windows software virtually from a remote server, eliminating the need to install the apps on their computers. Citrix is also connected to the Academic Server, ESS, and SSS, allowing Hamilton users to manage files on these servers directly through the virtual applications.
Citrix is available for MacOS and Windows. Mac users should note that the Citrix server is Windows-based, so they will need to use Windows keyboard shortcuts (e.g., Ctrl+C instead of Cmd+C) when using the applications.
As of Fall 2024, the following programs are available through Citrix:
- Atom
- Differential Equations
- IBM SPSS Statistics
- MATLAB
- MAXQDA
- Notepad++
- NVivo
- ParticleFlow
- R
- RStudio
- Stata
- Stat/Transfer
- TopoDrive
- Visual Studio Code
- Xming
