Issue
Google Drive client is installed, yet the mounted drive it creates (G:\) refuses to open. This may be accompanied by an error that states "location not found" when clicking on the drive shortcut.
Cause(s)
The Google Drive Client might be not running, or not starting correctly.
Resolution(s)
Restart Google Drive for Desktop
- On your computer, open Google Drive for Desktop.
- In the bottom right taskbar, click Settings >> Quit.
- Reopen Drive for desktop.
Restart the computer
A simple reboot can often resolve mapping issues.
Ensure your network connection is active
Drive needs Internet connectivity to sync and map correctly.
Reinstall Google Drive
- Uninstall the current version.
- Download the latest version from Google’s official site.
- Reinstall and sign in again.
