Google 2-Step Verification (2SV), or multi-factor authentication, is a security measure through which you can secure your account with a secondary verification method. When signing into a device, Google will present you with the most convenient option, and registering multiple verification steps will allow you to choose between them. You can add any number of the following methods to an account to secure it:
- Passkeys and security keys
- Google prompt
- Authenticator
- Phone Number
- Backup codes
